Gökyüzü - Our Food, Our Traditions

In Türkiye, food is tied to people coming together. It’s how families stay close and how friends connect. At Gökyüzü, we try to carry that same feeling into the way we cook and the way we welcome you.

Ramadan is one of the times where this becomes most clear. When the sun sets and iftar begins, the table fills quickly, grilled meats, warm bread straight from the oven, rice, salads, and the classic soups that start the meal. It’s a moment for slowing down and being with others, and we’re glad to play a part in it each year.

Eid follows with its own energy, relaxed, cheerful, and full of food. Long tables, shared plates, and plenty to go around. Our dishes are made with that in mind: generous portions, familiar flavours, and the kind of food that’s meant to be shared.

But it isn’t only about holidays. We try to bring the same feeling to every meal. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve been eating with us for years, we want the place to feel comfortable, like meals back home in Türkiye, served with care and consistency.

So whether you’re celebrating or simply stopping by after a long day, you’re welcome at our table. The traditions, the flavours, and a bit of home — all here in North London.
